I'm a fan of using non-permanent surfaces for content revision. I typically employ individual student whiteboards for everyday exercises and immediate comprehension checks.

These eco-friendly Workbooks enable students to adjust and repeat their responses without worrying about making mistakes. If they encounter difficulties in solving a math problem, they can start over and try again. Once they finish the MathRep, they can clean the surface and prepare for the following problem!

 

I've discovered that daily usage of MathReps has effectively reduced the cognitive load of math skills. The kids get faster each day of practice, so the math becomes routine for the learner.

 

I love that the Wipebook Workbook has four different MathReps. They let me keep practicing the standard even after we switched to a new task. This is extremely helpful when studying for tests.

 

I've assigned my students a different MathRep daily for the past few weeks of school. I've noticed their confidence in their work as they get faster each day! Before the introduction of MathReps, it was typical to present the concept of multiplication one skill at a time. For instance, we began with repeated addition, followed by equal groupings.

 

However, some concepts do not appear on a single page. I've noticed a significant enhancement in their comprehension.

 

Typically, I have the students solve three multiplication problems, utilizing all the representations, in less than 10 minutes. They just easily wipe it off with their hand and start working again, leveraging problem-solving skills.

A Hit At The EduProtocols Academy At Notre Dame

 

 

This summer, I felt honoured to share the Wipebook MathReps Workbooks at the EduProtocols Academy at Notre Dame. During the session, more than 20 educators were introduced to this new program and dry-erase workbooks.

 

They liked the ease with which the dry-erase marker erased. They also remarked that there was plenty of room to write and solve problems. A collective interest existed in using them in their classrooms.

 

Educators from California to Notre Dame, Indiana, and the East Coast use the MathReps Workbooks for grades 1 to 4 in their classrooms. Their durability allows teachers and students to practice in one compact tool for an entire year. This makes making copies obsolete, saving time and money.
